Hi
Everyone
Well
January was a busy month for our club.
Our Tuesdays and Fridays continue to do well
Our
Anew Year’s Eve part was fantastic. The
decorations were s sight to see. The
club hasn’t look so good in a long time thanks to Mickey and her entire
committee. The food was wonderful thanks
to Chef Dan, sous chef Paul and the entire wait staff. It took all week long to
get everything coordinated so that all the food was prepared and ready to go on
time. And that took a lot of help. So
thanks to everyone who participated in making this a night to remember.
January
21st was our Mock Wedding. If
you didn’t attend, you missed a great show.
Thanks again to Mickey and her committee for the wonderful decorations.
(The centerpieces were slightly dead flowers) The bridal party was hilarious. Everyone who participated had a great
time. Special thanks to Roe Barletta,
who was in charge of organizing the entire cast for this great night.
I
reported some of our finances last month.
It would like to report that results as of the year ending December 31,
2011. As of that date we have a surplus
of $26,888.00. That’s not bad
considering 2 years ago in 2009 we starting with a minus of $2000.00. It just proves that our club is doing very
well thanks to all our board members and all our volunteers. We also initiated
22 new members at our last meeting.
Welcome to all.
A
new dress code has been adopted. No one
over the age of 12 will be allowed in the club on Friday nights wearing shorts
or T-shirts. This is for Friday only. Shorts & T-shirts will be allowed on
Tuesday nights. No exceptions. This will
be strictly enforced.
Also
when running a tab at the bar, you must give the bartender either a credit
card, driver’s license, or membership card to hold until the tab is paid.
Please
remember, when ordering food, the order must be placed on Monday and picked up on
Friday. No one is to go directly to the
Chef to order food. The order must go
thru the office and paid when food is picked up. No exceptions.
Our
dues are now due. If you haven’t already
paid, please do so as soon as possible.
February 11th is our Valentine’s
Day Dinner Dance. If you haven’t bought
your tickets, better do so soon, as this promises to be a sellout.
Our
next bus trip is March 1st.
We will be going to the Hard Rock Casino. Tickets are $35.00 and you will receive
$25.00 in free play and a $5.00 food voucher.
We have a continental breakfast at the club at 8:00 AM and the bus
leaves promptly at 9 AM. We leave the
casino to return home at 5:30 PM.
Tickets are going fast so see Maria Woodward if you would like to join
us. We have a 50/50 on the bus and we
also play Bingo so there’s a chance you can win money before we even get to the
Casino.
March
10th is our St. Joseph’s Dinner Dance.
Tickets will be on sale soon.
This also promises to be a sellout, so don’t miss out on the fun. Get your tickets early.
See
you all soon. Until then, stay well and
God Bless
President
